The forum - self made?

    Hello!

just wondering, is this forum self programmed or is it a template you are using? :)

I've made it myself. It's built directly with PHP, so no tools or templates of any kind. I know it's a bit plain but it does the trick. It also allows me to customize it as needed. After all, this is not a normal forum, it's a course/lecture information page merged with a forum. :)

Yeah I don't mind it being plain, to be hones I rather like it :) Keeps thing's simple and avoids cluttering.

It's a nice, good overviewable, page. I love to see that. some sites have text and images everwhere and therefore you're searching for a while until you;ve figured out where to click to get any further

I quite enjoy this. It's different from any forum I've ever seen. Nice and simple.

Will you opensource it at some point?
  • 2013-11-01 12:05:51
No, the code is simply a mess. To open source it wouldn't help anyone.

I also like the layout of the forum. What do you use to create and manage the user accounts on the site?

I would assume it is running on a LAMP stack (Linux Apache MySQL and PHP), so I would deduce he stores it in a MySQL database?

    That makes sense.
