    Hey guys, I have the following problem:
    I have a gui with a custom made button, which, when pressed changes the inventory of its block. Although, because the gui is only on the client side, changes to the inventory will reset when updating the inventory manually (reopen inventory, modify a stack, relog, etc)
    That means, I have to send a packet to the server containing the information about the button press.

    Question: How do you do that on 1.7?
    cpw said the forge documentation is somehow bugged and very bad to use, so how to do it right?

    I was wondering that too, sounds are also confusing to handle too in 1.7 They completely changed the Packet Handlers to something else that I don't know how to use. This causes a lot of problems for a lot of mod ideas including sound, GUI's, entity actions (like dropping the bomb). If someone can figure it out, let us know :/
